Article Abstract:
Microsoft's Bill Gates is making a trip to Australia to share his vision of the 'Web lifestyle,' his latest techno-vision. He sees people looking to the Web for news, education, communication, and entertainment. His trip will involve meetings with major customers, and presentations to large groups. This is a good time for the visit from the point of view of Microsoft's NineMSN joint venture with Publishing and Broadcasting Limited. NineMSN is launching a revamped Web site with content from the Nine television network and ACP's magazines group. Telstra profits, Apple's Newton, 3Com's PalmPilot are also discussed.
