Murder in a suburb
Article Abstract:
Three teenagers have been charged with killing 75-year-old Frank Toope and 70-year-old Jocelyn Toope in their home in Beaconsfield, Quebec. The murders were accomplished with bats. The young defendants, ages 13, 14, and 15, pled not guilty in youth court, but the older boys may yet be tried as adults.

Research of the physical aspects of chemical and alcohol addiction has concentrated on the mesolimbic dopamine system of the brain. It is believed that long-term use of psychoactive drugs can interfere with normal neurotransmission in this area and may lead to addiction.

The 15-day walkout by postal workers has ended, having displaced 10,000 Canadian workers and costing businesses $40 million a day in lost sales. The imposed settlement does not resolve many of the differences between management and workers at Canada Post.
