Paying for care
Article Abstract:
Alzheimer's disease is an expensive disease. Caring for sufferers of the mental disorder is a taxing and trying task since home and institutional care is prohibitively costly and existing private and government support is sorely limited. Costs run to as much as $25,259 annually per capital for home care alone. To solve this problem, there has to be a long-term health care program financed by the government. There are several options, unsatisfactory thought they may be. Medicaid, with its mission to provide the very poor with medical coverage, fills in the gap though only to a certain extent.

Centennial Olympic games
Article Abstract:
Complaints about sports commercialization are expected to be heard as 3.5 billion TV viewers watch the summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, GA. Coca-Cola has launched a half-billion-dollar advertising blitz that will be countered by Pepsi's $375 million campaign. The International Olympic Committee was paid about $40 million for marketing rights by nine other sponsors. Kodak, Reebok, and McDonald's will also participate. Another concern is the use of drugs by athletes to enhance their performance.
