Rescue in Lima: a bold assault sends a message to terrorists

Under the command of Pres Alberto Fujimori, Peruvian commandos rescued all of the hostages that Tupac Amaru rebels had held in the Japanese embassy in Lima, Peru, since Dec 17, 1997. All the rebels were killed, and one hostage, Supreme Justice Carlos Giusti, died later of a heart attack.
