Individualism, collective responsibility and corporate crime
Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to analyze the association between individualism, collective responsibility and corporate crime. Peter French's views of corporations as full-pledged rational and moral agents were examined against the assumption that corporations do not support beliefs and intentions. Individualism was then shown to undermine strategy enforced accountability. In addition, the strategy of individual criminal liability was examined.
