Hostility, depressive symptoms, and smoking in early adolescence

Article Abstract:

A study is conducted among 1699 students in California from varied backgrounds in the sixth and seventh grades to identify the relationship between hostility, intensity of depressive symptoms and smoking. The results show that the relationship between hostility and smoking was more intense among students who indicate intense level of depressive symptoms.

Homelessness and drug abuse among young men who have sex with men in New York City: A preliminary epidemiological trajectory

Article Abstract:

The role of homelessness in drug and sexual risk in a population of young men who have sex with men (YMSM) is examined. An event history analysis approach is used to examine the timing of negative life experiences and homelessness relative to the onset of drug and sexual risk.
