Are children and parents substitutes or complements in the family labor supply decision in Bangladesh?

Article Abstract:

Regression analysis is done to examine whether children are employed in labor work because of poverty in family or because it is a socially acceptable norm to work along with parents. Child labor in Bangladesh is taken up as case study.

Environmental risk factors associated with RTI/STD symptoms among women in the urban slums

Article Abstract:

A case study of the prevalence of RTI/STD symptoms amongst women in Bangladesh slums is presented. The effects of environmental factors on these symptoms are also discussed.
