Bangladesh in 1992: dilemmas of democratization
Article Abstract:
The political transformation of Bangladesh from an autocratic leadership to a democratic system of government has not been very favorable in 1992. Its plan to ameliorate the educational system was disappointing and campus violence across the country was most distressing. The new representative government found itself in a deep quagmire characterized by faulty policies and inability to settle internal disputes. Evidently, the path towards democratization has been difficult for the present administration.

Bangladesh in 2004: The politics of vengeance and the erosion of democracy
Article Abstract:
The year 2004 was worse for Bangladesh as the country's fragile democracy suffered serious reversals. Rising political violence and religious militancy, coupled with the government's vindictive attitude and the main opposition party's intransigence, have created an unstable environment that is likely to inflict further damage on Bangladesh's democracy.
