The Practitioner and the Professor - A Working Partnership
Article Abstract:
Practitioners and educators may be an ideal combination to achieve a synergistic working relationship. The authors have worked together to develop a management advisory service. The managing partner identifies clients that can use the professors expertise in developing long range plans. The professor has also provided educational services to the accounting firm while gaining practical experience himself.

Rites of intensification: eating and ethnicity in the Catskills
Article Abstract:
The Catskill Mountains resort experience was not about novelty or going someplace new, it was about returning to an idealized version of home. In the late 19th century, visitors to the Catskills came to escape the pollution of New York City, and to eat farm-fresh produce, which was hard to find in the city. Resorts specialized in the ethnic cuisine of its primary clientele.

Log-cabin lux
Article Abstract:
Mandrell's home was built by her husband Ken Dudney's log-home-construction company in 1987. It is based on a log-cabin motif, but has 13 bathrooms, a huge pool and a helicopter pad. She lives there with her husband and two children, Jaime and Nathan.
