Who advised the Hong Kong government? The politics of absorption before and after 1997
Article Abstract:
The socioeconomic conditions and functions of other political offices in Hong Kong during the colonial, transition and post-colonial periods are investigated. Despite a substantial continuity in the composition of elites coopted, government/elites relations have changed because of the rise of a new form of functional-elite politics.

Post-secondary education in Hong Kong: repercussions for inequality and civil society
Article Abstract:
The new system launched by Hong Kong for their post secondary school section has expanded the access of students and diversified the institutions missions and finance. However, three policy dilemmas that illuminate repercussions for the civil society are described.

Hong Kong haze: air pollution as a social class issue
Article Abstract:
The poor in Hong Kong suffer the hazardous effects of air pollution. The researchers ignore this situation faced by the poor and believe that everyone in Hong Kong breathes the same quality of air.
