Betty Marsden

Article Abstract:

Actress and comedienne Betty Marsden made her debut in London, England, in 1930 at the Victoria Palace in 'The Windmill Man.' This led to a scholarship to the Italia Conti Stage School, which in 1935 found her a part in 'Closing at Sunrise.' She acted in her first film, 'Sky Raiders,' in 1938, but her film career did not really flourish. Her first television appearance was in the 1949 production 'The Winslow Boy,' but she was to become most well known for her radio work.
