Article Abstract:

Direct marketing activity in the UK remains extremely unsophisticated, even though providers of goods and services now have access to a wide range of information about people's purchasing habits and preferences. In the future, direct marketing may be able to provide consumers with valuable information which will allow them to manage their purchasing and their finances more effectively.
