Coming out ahead in the recruitment battle

Article Abstract:

Sponsorship of students throughout their college or university course brings considerable advantages for companies. They are able to assess the student's abilities over several years, and can offer relevant training and work experience, ensuring that the student has the necessary skills when she or he joins the company after graduation. Students also gain from sponsorship, enjoying financial support and being able to relate their academic work to the world of business.

Sssh! Can you keep a secret? We're taking people on ...

Article Abstract:

Some large companies are recruiting more graduates in Mar 1993 in anticipation of their post-recession needs. Firms where staffing needs are worked out centrally are recruiting, but those where they are determined divisionally are not. Medium and small companies are employing graduates for the first time. Graduates should research the field that interests them and pursue companies they would like to work for, not be off-put by the news and unemployment statistics.
