Professor Scruton goes a-hunting
Article Abstract:
Labour MP Kevin McNamara has presented a Private Member's Bill to the House of Commons which seeks to ban fox-hunting in the United Kingdom. Opposition to hunting is made on grounds of cruelty to animals. Hunters contend that those who object are ignorant of country lore. Hunt meetings are frequently sabotaged and the police sometimes attend to prevent trouble between the protesters and the huntsmen. Those who hunt claim the main pleasure lies in the chase and not the kill.

Superman fuelled on pure anger
Article Abstract:
Sprinter Linford Christie has won all the major titles and has remained among the greatest sprinters in the world for longer than had previously been thought possible. He has recently expressed considerable anger that his achievements have not been recognised. He believes that he has not been shown respect by athletics administrators or by the press, and feels that this is hampering his efforts to be a role model for young blacks.
