Rebel with a cause

Article Abstract:

Actor Sean Penn feels that he now knows what used to make him sad and angry. He believes that happiness was always within him, but he has now become able to recognize it. He now prefers writing and directing to acting. He feels that most films present a very unrealistic view of life, and he has tried to correct this with his film 'Loved,' which stars his wife, Robin Wright Penn. He has also made another film with his wife, 'Hurlyburly,' which, like all his projects, was not conceived with a view to extensive commercial success.

The method of Robert de Niro's money-making

Article Abstract:

Actor Robert De Niro believes that he is entering a new cycle in his life. This means that acting may no longer be a priority. He has been involved in many different projects over recent years, but does not feel that he is in danger of over-exposure. He has become increasingly interested in directing, and is looking for further directing work, even though 'A Bronx Tale' went over budget and over time. He has been successful with the TriBeCa Film Centre, founded in 1987.

A very uncommon man

Article Abstract:

The idea of magic is appealing, according to actor Peter O'Toole. However, he is now quite sceptical about phenomena such as fairies and flying saucers. He now lives a quiet life, but does not regret his colourful past. His most recent venture is 'Fairytale: A True Story,' in which he co-stars with Paul McGann. He plays the person who believed in the 'Cottingley Fairies,' five photographs taken by two small girls in Yorkshire.
