Community screening for visual impairment in older people
Article Abstract:
This article evaluates the usefulness of conducting mass screenings for visual impairments among elderly populations. Findings indicate that using self-report questionnaires about visual impairments as a part of a more comprehensive health assessment did not lead to improvements in self-reported vision among older adults.

Physicians are less willing to treat suicidal ideation in older patients

This article examines the care and treatment of older patients by their physicians. Data indicate that primary care physicians show age bias in their treatment of suicidal tendencies in older patients.
