Article Abstract:
The adherence of emergency department management of acute exacerbation of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) to current treatment guidelines is determined. Better adherence to guideline recommendations may lead to improved clinical outcomes and better resource usage in the case of elderly patients with COPD.
