Prevalence of appropriate and problematic antiepileptic combination therapy in older people in the nursing home
Article Abstract:
A study determining the prevalence of mono-antiepileptic and poly-antiepileptic drug (AED) therapy, and its specific combinations in a cohort of nursing home residents, as well as demographic, clinical and functional factors associated with poly-AED therapy and the most common AED combination, is presented.

Potentially inappropriate antiepileptic drugs for elderly patients with epilepsy
Article Abstract:
The patterns for older veterans with epilepsy and veterans at greatest risk of receiving potentially inappropriate antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) are described. The revaluation of the standard of care for older patients with epilepsy is stressed as older veterans received potentially inappropriate AED therapy.
