Against Beck: In defense of risk analysis
Article Abstract:
The novel approach to the concept of risk adopted by the German sociologist, Ulrich Beck, and his attack on the concepts and practices of risk analysis are highlighted. It is argued that Beck's work exhibits serious confusion about the concept of risk and that his criticisms of risk analysis are groundless.

Yahoo ask U.S. court to rule against French court
Article Abstract:
Yahoo has asked the United State District Court in San Jose to overturn the decision by a French judge banning the sale of Nazi merchandise on Yahoo's auction site. Yahoo would like the judge to declare the law uneforceable in the US.
