Innovation and industrialization: a long-term comparison
Article Abstract:
A study investigated the evolution of industrial technological structures with a focus on the structural characteristics of leading industrial nations during each of three great industrial revolutions recorded by historians. The first industrial revolution commenced during the late 18th century, the second, late in the 19th century, and the third, late in the 20th century. The primary aim of the analysis is to demonstrate that each of these major revolutions generated a distinctive national system of production with a unique, high degree of internal consistency.
