The Effect of Ownership History on the Valuation of Objects
Article Abstract:
The valuation of an object is influenced by the ownership history of the object. For example, the object valuation increases the longer the object is in a person's possession. Additionally, the longer an object is in someone's possession, the higher its valuation to someone else. The object's attractiveness is also perceived to be greater the longer the duration of ownership.
