Expert roles and information exchange during discussion: the importance of knowing who knows what
Article Abstract:
A study of three-person groups to discuss a homicide mystery revealed that decision-making groups perform well if expert roles are assigned to its members but forewarning the members about their specific area of information is not useful. The coordination and processing of unshared information depends upon the members' recognition of their specific areas of information. In case the members do not have specific roles, there is a possibility of omission of one individual's information from the discussion.

Vagal tone regulation during sustained attention in boys exposed to opiates in utero
Article Abstract:
Usage of continuous-performance tasks and cardiac vagal tone in a study of sustained attention spans of 36 boys, aged between 7 to 12 years, reveals that boys exposed to narcotics in utero displayed poor physiological responses to enhanced attentional demand. Environmental influences play a prominent role in attentional performance of boys exposed to opiates in utero or after birth and even those not exposed to drugs.
