From communal and communist bonds to fragile statehood: the drama of ex-post-Yugoslavia
Article Abstract:
The disintegration of communist Yugoslavia in 1991 and the subsequent civil war between its primary ethnic groups, the Croats, Bosnian Muslims and Serbs has raised numerous, different, disturbing issues pertaining to the viability of multiculturalism within the EU and Western Europe. It has been noted that Western observers frequently apply paradigms and models valid for the West in analyzing communist societies. Yet analysis will show that communist totalitarianism in the former Yugoslavia provided psychologic security, economic stability and the culture of sloth despite its failings.

Manage the relationships, the team will manage the work
Article Abstract:
Synergy develops out of the relationships among coworkers and relationships are fragile, but managing the relationships is the key to maintaining synergy in a work group over time. While there may be a number of factors in a synergistic work experience, the only two components to a synergistic team are diversity of talent and a unified commitment to the mission of the group, and even though they do not have the same talent, different people bring different capacities to the game.
