SPACE TIGHT FOR NEW DISPLAYS
Article Abstract:
Manufacturers are faced with an array of new display technologies including Liquid Crystal on Silicon (LCoS), Digital Lighting Processing (DLP), ferroelectric LCDs (FLCD) and direct-drive image light amplifier (D-ILA). Products using these technologies were displayed at the Consumer Electronics Show, 2001. However, retailers are cautious and plan to carry only limited amounts of new displays till they find out which technology is most successful.
