Wave of optimism buoys cruise liner orders
Article Abstract:
Many cruise lines are placing orders for new cruise ships at the start of 1993. The primary beneficiaries of the increased demand for cruise ships have been the top European shipyards which include Fincantieri, Kvaerner Masa-Yards, Chantiers de l'Atlantique and Meyer Werft. Analysts attribute the increased demand for new ships to improved interest rates and favorable forecasts of increased cruise passenger volumes.
