Article Abstract:

Furniture manufacturer Sitag, based in Switzerland, developed the Soleil Workstation based on observations that workers prefer a half-moon shape work area because it allows strategic positioning of most materials. A variation of the Soleil design consists of an adjustable core. Theflexibility of the Soleil systems is due to an Appendage Element System which allows greater adaptability of the unit. Sitag has also developed the Soleil Chair collection to complement the workstation design.

Designers rate...

Article Abstract:

The Migrations seating and table collection conceptualized by Michael Shields to enhance teamwork and cooperation in any type of environment was introduced by Brayton in 1996. The 24-seating model collection includes near square-back models. Designers are impressed with the products' features and strengths. However, they also noted weaknesses. Among the best features are concept, mobility, adaptability and capability to promote teamwork, productivity and informal collaboration.

Article Abstract:

Fine wood furniture manufacturer Bernhardt Furniture Company Inc's new American Standards Collection features unique and highly detailed furniture which have reasonable price tags. Industrial designers Mark Goetz and Tim Richards made the simple and cost-effective furniture designs which Bernhardt produced by laser cutting into the cathedral grains instead of the more labor-intensive marquetry method.
