Cassini to Saturn

Article Abstract:

NASA will launch spacecraft Cassini to Saturn in October 1997 and is expected to reach the planet by July 2004. The voyage, touted as NASA's grandest and last large interplanetary mission, aims to provide a clearer understanding of the Saturnian system and its importance to life and the solar system.

Galileo at Jupiter

Article Abstract:

The space probe Galileo will enter orbit around Jupiter in December 1995. Galileo will make observations of Jupiter's atmosphere and surface and will also dispatch a probe that will enter the Jovian atmosphere and transmit its observations to Earth.

In a fix: JPL aims to make sure Galileo's partially opened antenna doesn't close its show

Article Abstract:

The Galileo space probe's mission to Jupiter is being hampered the probe's inability to deploy its high gain communications antenna. The Jet Propulsion Laboratory's efforts at correcting this are presented and discussed.
