Inducers of plant systematic acquired resistance regulate NPR1 function through redox changes

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on regulator of plant systematic acquired resistance, NPR1. Results demonstrate that NPR1 reduction prevents defense gene expression, and that there is a link between accumulation of salicylic acid and NPR1 activation in the systematic acquired resistance signaling pathway.

The C. elegans zyg-1 gene encodes a regulator of centrosome duplication with distinct maternal and paternal roles in the embryo

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the centrosome duplication, important for the bipolar mitotic spindle. Results indicate that zyg-1 gene of Caenorhabditis elegans is the centrosome duplication regulator and is a key molecular component of the centrosome/centriole duplication process.
