S-nitrosylation of NSF controls membrane trafficking

Article Abstract:

The authors discuss the study on nitric oxide's effect on regulated exocytes in different biological systems. The topics include the inhibition by S-nitrosylation of NSF of exocytosis of Weibel-Palade bodies which contain mediators essential to vascular vessel tone regulation.

The pathogen-inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS) in plants is a variant of the P proteins of the glycine decarboxylase complex

Article Abstract:

RTesearch has been conducted on the signaling role of nitric oxide in the plants. The authors demonstrate that pathogen-induced nitric oxide-synthesizing enzyme is a variant form of glycine decarboxylase P protein.
