Sunscreen use and melanoma

Article Abstract:

Sunscreens probably do not increase the risk of melanoma, according to researchers who analyzed 18 studies on this topic. Previous research has suggested that sunscreen use might increase the risk of melanoma. However, it is possible that people who already had a high risk of melanoma may use sunscreen more often than people with a low risk.

The Brush Inquiry: an opportunity to investigate health outcomes in a well-characterized cohort

Article Abstract:

An analysis is presented on the Brush Inquiry, a health survey performed in the city of Cleveland, OH, from 1926 to 1942. Impacts of the survey include establishing norms for child development and growth, setting indicators for subsequent health outcomes, and incorporating a wide variety of categories, such as economic status and ethnicity.

A woman describes frustrating events on a drive from northern Italy into France, and how French food rejuvenated her travel group. Six recipes for French food are given, including eggplant dip, red snapper and clams with tomato cream sauce and basil and escargots in parsley-garlic butter sauce.
