Transformation of chlorinated benzenes and toluenes by Ralstonia sp. strain PS12 tecA (tetrachlorobenzene dioxygenase) and tecB (chlorobenzene dihydrodiol dehydrogenase) gene products

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the tecB gene located downstream of tecA and encoding tetrachlorobenzene dioxygenase in Ralstonia sp. strain PS12. The results of the tecB gene cloning into the Escherichia coli DH5alpha together with the tecA gene are described.

Rational engineering of the regioselectivity of TecA tetrachlorobenzene dioxygenase for the transformation of chlorinated toluenes

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on Ralstonia sp. PS12 tetrachlorobenzene dioxygenase. The authors have investigated this dioxygenase which is involved in chlorinated toluene biodegradation, and report the results.

cis-Chlorobenzene dihydrodiol dehydrogenase (TcbB) from Pseudomonas sp. strain P51, expressed in Escherichia coli DH5alpha (pTCB149), catalyzes enantioselective dehydrogenase reactions

Article Abstract:

Pseudomonas sp. strain P51 cis-chlorobenzene dihydrodiol dehydrogenase (CDD)(TcbB) expressed in Escherichia coli DH5alpha (pTCB149) has been found to catalyze enantioselective dehydrogenase reactions. The study was carried out with the object of investigating the potential of CDD for enantiomeric resolution of chiral dihydrodiols. CDD preferentially oxidized the para-halogenated cis-toluene dihydrodiol enantiomers preferentially formed by chlorobenzene dioxygenase (CDO).
