Cybermediaries in electronic marketspace: toward theory building

Article Abstract:

Cybermediaries are expected to perform vital roles in today's electronic markets. They are likely to deliver channel functions that depend on a particular sets of skills or technologies needed in the electronic markets. Specialized skills include product presentation, online store management and transaction security. However, their presence will be less evident in product markets where social interaction is necessary for sustaining consumer purchasing behavior.
