10-day truckers' action blocks roads

Article Abstract:

On Jul 9, 1992, French truckers ended a 10-day protest that had blocked major highways. The truckers were demonstrating against a plan to revoke licenses of drivers who accumulate too many points due to violations. An agreement to reduce the pressure on truckers that had encouraged traffic violations ended the protest.
