Machinery (construction & mining)

Article Abstract:

The growth rate of domestic orders for construction and mining machinery has slowed in 1996 after gains in 1994 and 1995. However, prospects for this industry are good in 1997 with low long-term interest rates and a favorable economic climate. International markets are also a good profit source for the industry with the increased demand for machinery. Selected stocks in this industry, especially those with foreign markets, can be good investments.
