DENMARK/LITHUANIA: BLUCHER TO EXPAND

Article Abstract:

Blucher Metal, the Danish producer of sewage systems in stainless steel, is planning for expansion. Turnover is expected to be doubled in the next three years to more than DKr 0.5bn (USD 0.07bn) from DKr 267mn in 1998. For 1998, turnover is estimated at DKr 300mn. Within the next 18 months, the company is planning to open a plant in Lithuania, and by now, production is also to be expanded at Vojens, Denmark.

RUSSIA: SKANDINAVISK TOBAK TO INVEST IN PLANT

Article Abstract:

House of Prince, a subsidiary of the Danish tobacco group Skandinavisk Tobakskompagni, is planning for a new cigarette plant in Russia. The plant will be located 400 kilometres south of Moscow, and the intention is to start construction works before the end of 1999.
