Airest spent Sch 13mn on a new automated meal production line it put into operation in April 2001. The fully automated kitchen can produce up to 26,000 on-board meals per day. The menus and recipes are designed by cooks in a small conventional kitchen. In year 2000 Airest made a balance sheet profit of Sch 46.6mn on a turnover of Sch 547mn.
