Adecco posts 34% jump in revenue, unveils deal

Article Abstract:

Adecco SA posted an increase of 34% in its revenue for 1998. The company also announced its agreement to purchase Delphi Group PLC, a technology-services firm based in the UK. In 1998, Adecco posted 406.4 million Swiss francs ($286.7 million) in net income for 1998. This was a 35% increase from 1997. The company will be acquiring Delphi in a 167 million ($273 million) deal. The acquisition will make Adecco the top information-technology recruitment company in the world.

U.S. search firm expects its results to top estimates
