Swissair to divest its 4.6% stake in Delta Air Lines

Article Abstract:

Swissair announced that it will sell off its 4.6% share of Delta Air Lines. The chief executive of Swissair, Jeffrey Katz, said that negotiations for the divestiture are currently ongoing. Mr. Katz added that the planned divestiture is not connected to Swissair's recent marketing alliance with Swiss Air Transport Co., American Airlines, and Sabena Belgian World Airlines. Mr. Katz said the divestiture is a "better use of capital."
