Airport lounges change their style

Article Abstract:

The standard of care and service available from different transatlantic airlines is expected to continue rising as airlines constantly update ground services in order to keep travellers, especially in the lucrative business class market. All of the major airlines have luxurious lounges where travellers can shower, work, exercise or even sleep. Other services include travellers being collected from their homes, chauffeur driven to the airport and taken directly to the waiting lounges

Break for the border

Article Abstract:

The UK travel industry is making significant efforts to attract travelling executives. Most business travellers now participate in at least one frequent-flyer scheme, and airlines are using these schemes as a way of meeting the needs of status conscious executives. Airlines are also forming alliances and are moving towards code-sharing, which allows international carriers to offer connections using domestic carriers. The economic crisis in Asia has led to a sharp drop in air fares.

Airlines: maximum privacy, maximum comfort

Article Abstract:

Businessmen are being warned about the possibility of secrets being stolen or accidently viewed on business flights, with many being stopped from working or using laptops whilst on board. Airlines are offering bigger seats, with more privacy in a bid to tempt businessmen on to their flights. Many seats have individual power supplies and are positioned far enough away from the next seat to offer total privacy.
