Arcor explores potential acquisitions to challenge Deutsche Telekom

Siemens to buy Data Firms in U.S. for $600 million

Article Abstract:

Siemens AG is planning to announce as much as $600 million worth of data firm acquisitions in the US. Siemens is also planning to launch a new company. The plans are the initial phase of Siemens's long-term efforts to become a major Internet technology supplier. However, Siemens is not engaged in talks with 3Com Corp. about purchasing any part of it. The New York Times had reported that both firms were engaged in exploratory discussions.
