Barents Sea king crab eexplosionE

Article Abstract:

Norwegian trawler owners are asking for an increase in the red king crab quota for the Barents Sea due to the unprecedented increase in their population. The fast growth of the crab population will result in decrease in the benthic species. Thus king crab quotas can be increased and higher by-catches can be allowed.
