Bored expats create diversion on Hanoi River

Article Abstract:

The members of the expatriate community of Hanoi, Vietnam, have little to amuse themselves aside from bars, karaoke and weekend trips to the countryside. To relieve the boredom, several of them got together and had a local shipyard build them a small pleasure craft. Dubbed the 'Diversion,' the boat has already been launched successfully on Hanoi's Red River but its proud owners still have to wait a few weeks for a license to operate the vessel.
