IndonesiaEs President e lect Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono was greeted with an unprecedented hike by the Jakarta Stock Exchange index. Yudhoyono won the elections with 61% votes in his favor and the foreign direct investments in the country have also risen by 24%. However, Yudhoyono now has the unpleasant task of taking stern measures to curtail the large deficit, which will include raising the domestic fuel prices.
