Canada orders 75m clam factory ship- Taiwan yard to build $34 million clearwater catcher

The ship building agreement signed by Taiwan's Ching Fu Shipbuilding Co., with Canada's Clearwater Fine Foods Inc. to construct a 75.8-meter factory freezer clam ship is mentioned. The features of the 89.2-meter long ship that is conceptualized by Campbell Shipbuilding and being made by Ching Fu Shipbuilding Co. for Netherlands's Friesland are mentioned.

Trawlers refit for scallops

Article Abstract:

Canada based Clearwater has renovated its two Russian trawlers that were built in 1997. The new refits that were done by Gdansk based Skipapol will enable these vessels to work as scallop dredgers. The details of the modifications implemented on these fishing vessels are discussed.
