Clearly Cdn teams with Reebok

Article Abstract:

Clearly Canadian Beverages, headquartered in Vancouver, has entered into a licensing agreement with Canton, MA-based Reebok International Ltd to manufacture a Reebok-branded drink. According to Clearly Canadian, the two companies will produce, distribute and market the beverage in Canada, the Caribbean and the US. Under the agreement, which began in Feb 5, 2001 for an initial term of three years, Clearly Canadian will pay Reebok a royalty based on a percentage of net sales of the product.

Reebok thinking Clearly

Article Abstract:

Reebok International has formed a partnership with Clearly Canadian Beverage Corp for a new beverage containing vitamins, minerals and electrolytes. The beverage, to be called Reebok Fitness Water, would initially be sold in six US states and in Canada by 2002. Jonathan Cronin, VP for marketing at Clearly Canadian, said the enhanced water market is a growing market, where the company believes it can gain leadership through the Reebok brand.

The tight competition in Canada's energy drinks market has prompted local manufacturers to develop innovative packaging designs that offer value- added features. Sports and health drinks bottles have been redesigned to make them more convenient and protable. Colors and letters on labels have also been modified to make products more visible and aggressive on store shelves.
