DENMARK: AARHUS OLIE TO REPORT IMPROVED RESULTS

Article Abstract:

Aarhus Olie, the Danish producer of vegetable oils and fats, expects a DKr 190-195mn (about USD 26mn) operating profit for 1999, up from DKr 177mn in 1998. The result is expected to continue improving in 2000. The expected net result for 1999 has been adjusted to DKr 140mn from DKr 100mn thanks to improved results of the foreign subsidiaries Anglia Oils (England), Aarhus Inc (USA) and Santa Lucia (Mexico). In addition, the associated company in Malaysia, United Plantations Berhad, will report its highest profit so far. Aarhus Olie has also streamlined operations during 1999.
