DENMARK: HOSPITAL PROJECTS IN NORTHERN JUTLAND

Article Abstract:

On 9 October, a new medical ward will be inaugurated at the hospital of Frederikshavn, northern Jutland, by the Danish Prime Minister Poul Nyrup Rasmussen. The investment costs of the 8,500 sq. metres building total DKr 115mn (USD 14mn). In all, more than DKr 500mn have been invested in the hospital in the past few years. About the same sum is to be invested in the hospital of Aalborg, which will be extended by 35,000 sq. metres. The extension will mainly include a medical ward. This project is planned to be finished by 2006.

Denmark: Commercial building project at Tirstrup

Article Abstract:

The Swedish construction company Skanska has outlined a commercial building project at Tirstrup , totaling the construction of 45,000 sq. metres. The aim is to attract businesses through the nearness to an airport and several ports (Grenaa, Arhus and Ebeltoft). The first phase of the construction works may begin in the summer of 2002, if the project develops successfully. Investments are estimated to total about DKr 0.5bn (USD 56mn).

DENMARK: FIH INVESTS IN NEW HEADQUARTERS

Article Abstract:

FIH, the Danish institute for the financing or industries and craft, is to invest about DKr 300mn (USD 33mn) in a new headquarters at Langelinie, Copenhagen. The 11,200 sq. metres office building will be built by NCC Denmark. 4,000 sq. metres will be leased out, whereas FIH will use 7,200 sq. metres.
