DENMARK: SLOW START OF INSURANCE PORTAL

Article Abstract:

The new Danish insurance portal, Forsikringsluppen, was opened on Friday. The aim of the portal is to make the insurance market transparent to the consumer. But only half of the insurance market is represented on the Portal, not even Topdanmark which has a market share of 20 per cent. Topdanmark regrets this, but expects to be ready to join the portal by the end of this year. Marketing manager Michael Jungsvig of Fair Forsikring criticizes the portal for not making the insurance market transparent to the consumer. First of all because only three insurance companies can be compared at a time, secondly because only house and household insurances are represented on the portal.
