Data mining with genetic algorithms on binary trees

Article Abstract:

A technique is developed to perform operations of genetic algorithms on binary trees, representing classification trees of the data mining technique, automatic interaction detection (AID). The technique uses genetic operators that work directly on the binary classification trees, and the results show that it produces a set of diverse trees that all show high-explanatory power.
