Financial planning with fractional goals

Article Abstract:

A multiple-criteria decision-making method called the Interective Multiple Goal Programming (IMGP) was developed to help corporate decision-makers account for multiple, and sometimes conflicting, financial planning goals. A method was also developed to incorporate fractional goal variables such as return on investment, target debt-to-equity ratio and number of times-interest-earned into IMGP. An example in financial planning is presented to illustrate the utility of IMPG in multiple-criteria decision-making.

Analyzing risk and performance using the multi-factor concept

Article Abstract:

A basic model that uses the multi-factor approach shows that instruments can be used to change the risk and the expected level of performance. Three kinds of instruments are presented as agents of change for the sensitivities. These are the level changing instruments, flexibility instruments and transformation instruments. The model is specifically applied in the field of finance, but it can also be used in other areas.

Comparative Conditional Performance Review (CCPR), a multidimensional framework for comparative performance evaluation, corrects the influence of risks, which are beyond the control of the decision maker.
